Tractor
Kubota L3300, m5700, case 580se
I have a 1998 L3300 kubota with FEL, R4 tires loaded with water, sometimes need to carry more than one attachment on trailor to site.

Anybody got any ideas how much just the tractor with loaded tires and FEL weighs?

I have a trailor now that was made for hauling a car and its not doing to well with the weight, want to make sure next one is good for it.

You need a 7000lb capacity trailer at the minimum to carry that tractor and it should be about 18 foot long to center it right. I'd go for a skid steer or low deck trailer.

A trailor with 7000 pound axles [tanden] should be enough?
Any ideas on what I have weighs?
Thanks for the reply Art. Thinking of at least a 20'.

The car hauler you are using is probably a 7K trailer (either 14ft or 16 ft length). I would get a 10K trailer. It will also give you some wiggle room if you add a BH.

I have a L3410 with loaded R4's and FEL. The tractor is about 3000#, the loader is about 1200# and the filled tires adds about 650#. Cutters are 500-1000# depending on light or medium duty. A KK tiller is 650#.

3000+1200+650+750+650 = 6250# Not counting the weight of the trailer.

7000# - trailer weight of 2000 = 5000#. Too light.

With a 60" cutter on the back the wheel sticks past the end of the 18' trailer. My trailer weighs in at 2500#. I would consider 18' and 10k the minimum. Better would be 20' and 12k with a dove tail. Best would be a 24' 14k gooseneck with hydraulic tilt bed. But that might be a touch of over kill... Still, trailer needs may grow.

Spending your money sure has been fun!

I have an L4200 no loading in my tires and FEL. I also have a Woods 9' backhoe. Total estimated dry weight is ~5700 pounds, so I assume somewhere just under 6000 pounds, ~1300 of which is the backhoe. I have a Hudson 10k GVW 16' equipment trailer to haul it. I have to put the loader bucket a little in front of the trailer bed to get the tongue weight right, but it sits that way fine. Total loaded weight is about 8000 pounds (trailer is ~2000). Hauls great and is extremely stable, even with my 7k-rated Tundra.

Thanks guys. Looks like it will weigh about 6k. I want a goose neck. My truck already has hitch. So at the least I should be looking for 12k 20'. Never know when something bigger will need moving:D
