Oil & Fuel Kubota ZD-21 not starting after fuel filter replacement.

I was performing the 200 hour maintenance on my ZD-21. Ran great before that. Changed the oil, oil filter, topped off the anti-freeze, changed the air filter and the inline fuel filter. Topped it off with a fresh tank of diesel to get her ready for the season. However, when I went to start it up, it ran very, very rough then quit (White smoke from the exhaust so I know there was some compustion.) Turned it over multiple times with less and less success until she won't even fire now. The new fuel filter is 80% full of diesel. Do I need to bleed the lines? Any suggestions?

Not sure on a ZD21 but a ZD28 has 2 inline filters and a electric pump. I always loosen the bleed screw on the injection pump and turn the key so the elec pump runs and forces fuel out the bleeder.

Since you did not bleed it and tried to start it now you also have to use a 17mm wrench and loosen the lines on your injectors and crank it till fuel squirts out good.

Thanks - Do you do one injector at a time or just loosen all three and do them at once?

May as well do all three since you tried to run it. Only have to loosen them a tiny bit.
