Kubota ZD18 for $3,000???

Stumbled onto this on Craigslist last night. Frankly, I'm a bit dubious since today, I can't find the listing at all!!

Here's what the seller emailed me today (using a gmail account which doesn't prove anything but..... for 65 year old lady... I just find that interesting)

I actually happen to be interested in something however, my gut feeling is still up...so, I emailed her back & said I'd love to come by to check it out.

Awaiting her response from that request.

Something I found interesting was the capitalization of "KUBOTA ZD18 MOWER" everywhere... I can deal with the caps on no cashier checks... but the other one has me intrigued and is part of what's keeping my guard up...

Oh...and interestingly enough, I don't seem to be able to find this listing anymore on Craigslist. I don't remember how I found it last night so it's possible I'm not spelling something correctly... but none the less... I think it's interesting that it seems to have disappeared.

First of all I want to clear some things up, so we don't waste each
other's time. This KUBOTA ZD18 MOWER is available for inspection in
Knoxville. I can arrange delivery but only under strict conditions. The
machine is in excellent shape.
I'm not selling this for the money, I know I could easily get more.
Last December I was in a car accident who left me one side paralyzed. I'm
starting to recover, but is pretty hard as a 65 years old, single women, so
I'm planning to move to my sister in Europe, soon. Due to the attractive
price I received a lot of requests. Considering my condition and the fact I
don't want my home transformed in a showroom, I'm looking for serious buyers
only. I recently had a bad experience with a potential buyer (fake cashier
checks), so I will accept cash only (NO CASHIER CHECKS, NO MONEY ORDERS).
The price is $2999. I don't want surprises, so let me know from now if this
price is something you can afford. I can go lower maybe, let me know your
best offer.
That being said, this KUBOTA ZD18 MOWER and other things I'm trying to
sell where part of my husband's business, I had them evaluated and the price
I'm asking is fair. I don't know too much things about constructions
business and tools but I'll do my best to answer any of your questions
regarding this machine condition and/or technical details.

I'm beginning to think the verbaige of the ebay unit is the same as what I read on cragislist last night...

I think this is a probable scam and the reason I can't find it on craigs list anymore is it's been deleted...however, I got my email out to "her" prior to that happening.

Will be interesting to see what her response is to my request to come visit.

Studor, for what's its I made a complaint with the FBI and forwarded this email to them. God only knows how many people have fallen for this.

Most recent email... I might preface that I sent "her" TWO emails, one about I'd like to see it, the next one saying I'd be happy to pick up and she'd not need to worry about shipping... to BOTH emails, I got this back

I think I'm going to go along with it for a bit, just to see how far they go.

Thank you for your kind works. Regarding the machine, it has like 12 h
on it, it's practically new. All the machines and tools I'm trying to sell
where checked before I listed them, so I have no knowledge of any hydraulic
pump problem.
As I said in my previous email I had some very bad experience with some
potential buyers and although I have no doubt your a serious person I don't
schedule appointments based on words anymore, no offense. Sunday should be
fine, but I can't give you a straight answer yet, I need to check with my
nephew, his helping me with the sale, due my medical condition.
I require a small deposit, 10% of sale price, amount that will ensure me
you will show up at the scheduled appointment. I have so much stuff on sale
and so many people requesting appointments ... don't have the time nor the
strength to meet everyone.
If you agree, I'm sure we will be able to arrange a deal. No need to worry
