Could someone please tell me if that fuel tank switch actually shuts of fuel from which ever tank it is set on or does the fuel flow from both tanks no matter which direction it is set. Also how do you read the darn switch to know which tank you are using and which is shut off. I just got this monster of a mower and it is a monster! I would be really grateful if someone can help me on this. Thanks!!!

Not satisfied with my post. I am going to try again On my Kubota ZD323 there are two fuel tanks. One on each side. There is a selector switch under the seat. Unless I am mistaken this is one of those left is right and right is left things. The pointer on the switch is pointing to the left tank.So when I sit in the seat it is pointing to the tank on the operators left side. Now to me this mean that my left tank is providing the fuel and the right tank is on stand by until I move the selector on the switch to the right tank which would be on my right side. Am I right or wrong on my assumption? If this is all true doesnt this mean if my right tank which has water in it and if I only use the left tank i will be ok until I figure out how to get the water out of the right tank?

I'd say yes.

Get the water out by taking the fuel tank to the tank with water loose from the switch, and draining it.

unless your a commercial operator, we generally recommend just running the one fuel tank. Its better to cycle the fuel more frequently and not let the one side sit and collect water.

On my former ZD326 I tied the two tanks together. Results......the fuel gauge shows me the true diesel left. The idiot light which came on when the one tank was half empty kept you guessing how much fuel you had. MUCH better setup.
