kubota 3430
have a kubota 3430 with l 723 loader. the control stick stopped working and I was told it was probably the control cables. There are 2 so I ordered them at what I though was 179 for the set but that was each. I now think it might be the control lever. The control lever is 380.00 but there is a block under the rubber boot that must be the problem although they are not available only the complete assembly. I'm thinking if I knew who made the controller I could get the part from them, if not maybe a machine shop could weld and regrind the block. Anyone ever have one of these off? Not even sure how to put it back on. It has 3 slots, 1 for each cable and 1 for the stationary post. Must be a trick to putting it back. The manual doesn't even show a picture of it. Thanks

I would check for moisture / crud under the caps on the back of the valve body. If it's below freezing where you are, try getting it good and warm. I've seen alot of them get moisture inside and either freeze up..... or the steel parts (spring) get rusty and corroded and don't want to move. You may want to try and find an exploded view of your valve before taking the caps off...... as the detent balls or other micro sized parts may fall on the ground.
