Anyone had any experience with the T1570 mowers from Kubota?

Steveky,

I have a T1670 and really like it. The only difference between the two is that the 1670 has slightly bigger rear tires and a rear suspension, which I really like. The deck attachment to the frame and the frame itself looks bulletproof. The hydro transmission is much larger and beefier than competing models from other manufacturers and is equipped with a cooling fan. The hydro is also foot operated, just like the big Kubotas.

To be fair, I don't have any other extensive experience with quality riding mowers to compare this one to. However, I have posted my experiences with this mower in previous threads in this section. Just do a search and you should find a bit of info.

If you have any specific questions, I'll sure try and answer them though.

I've had a JD GX75 for the last 12 years and its been a real good little mower. I have a L3010 Kubota with the HST and its great. I can purchase the T1570 at a local dealer for $2500. I've not really looked at the JD's yet.

Thanks for the information.

Steveky,

$2500 sounds like a really good price. My 1670 was $2850 plus tax with the 42" deck, same as the 1560.

I bought the Kubota partly because I liked my dealer, partly because it looked like a great product, and partly because I really liked my 2910. I'm sure I would have been happy with a JD also. Twelve months into ownership and I have had zero problems, although how to remove the deck easily or even at all is still a puzzle to me. /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif

I took the JD GX75 apart, installed the new brake pads and did not find any problems. Put everything back together and still no brakes. There is a gear that's connected to the shaft that the brake grab. I checked it and it seemed /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif fine...now I'm wondering if its not slipping on the shaft. Guess I'm going to have to take it apart again...second time will be easier...lol.

I sell Kubota and Cub Cadet, to compare the two is hardly fair. Since Deere and Cub started selling at Home Depot / Lowes the quality is just not there any more. Kubota does make a good quality mower.
