is it wise to increase snow blower fan to increase distance it will blow snow?

Short answer: No. It depends on the snow's relative water density as well.

Depends on what you mean by increased snow blower fan. I run my 63-in snowblower at the rated rpm, 2500. Are you referring to fan speed?

In my experience I have found that I would shear less bolts running at higher rpms.

My blower is a 'not so great' version.
OK, price was great. ($400)
I have improved it by lining the chute with plastic, (no stick) and since my CUT has 3 speeds on PTO I use the middle one, 700 +/- RPM.
Next I developed techniques to make my 'blowing experience' workable.

OK, more fan blades= better,
Larger fan diameter= better,
BUT that all wants HP at the PTO, Do U have what it takes?

Then, private (like I'm not in a real hurry) or commercial (time is money) situation.

Hey, with time, patience (and or money) that snow will be gone!
Maybe by next summer, LOL.

yes I a talking fan speed. I run the tractor at 3000 rpm and the PTO at 960
Thanks for the replys
