Kubzilla 2: And so it ends...(the project)

It's been a beautiful Summer here in Alaska, so I was able to finish my backyard clearing project. :thumbsup: What started as a mass of downed trees, tall weeds, and stumps, finally ended up as a nice clearing in my back yard. I started by moving some of the downed trees into a pile on one end of the property. As the clearing started to appear, I slowly expanded it until I had all the property that I wanted to clear done. Since I didn't want to burn the very large pile that I had accumulated at once, I dug a trench that was about 4' wide, 4' deep, and 30' long. Then I started moving the wood from the pile to the pit and then started burning it. That left me with about 25 stumps that I had originally intended to burn in place. With the burn restrictions here, however, I decided to dig them out or pull them instead. I was very surprised how well Kubzilla did! Some of the bigger stumps took over an hour, but most came up in about 30 to 45 minutes. I probably averaged about a half hour a day (some of that just playing...) for about 4 1/2 months. Ok, now the bad stuff. Poor Kubzilla did not escape unscathed. I was trying to flip a rather large stump by putting the loader bucket down on the far side of it, and backing up, when it flipped faster than I could back up. So now she is sporting a small dent in the hood. Also, I really wish I had taken the advice of so many here and installed skid plates. I ran over a 2" stick and it wound up in my radiator fan . It broke off one of the fan blades, but did not harm the radiator:ashamed:. Spent a couple of hours replacing the fan blade, and popping out most of the dent on the hood and every thing was roses again... Don't let anyone ever tell you that a BX isn't an awesome machine, cause it is... Now for the pics:

Nice project. Its over? Had a nice summer? Hard for me to think about winter when I am getting 100+ temps down here in Texas.... I have some friends in Wasilla. I was up there in 09 on a bear hunt at Tyonek Village.

How do you guys fare in the winter up there? Does your 'bota handle all the snow?

Thanks for the replies! As you can see from the final pics, Fall has fell here. I don't think that I have seen over 75 degrees this entire year! As far as winter, I haven't had my Kubota here for a winter yet, so I can't say for sure, But I expect that it would need to be garaged(it is) or plugged in as does my Duarmax. I'll let you know in couple of months...
