KUHN FC300G

guys have a kuhn fc300 gyro. can you tell me how this thing works switching from from 540 to 1000. i know you can switch the pto drive around to hook up to tractor 1000 rpm but do i need to change anything else on the mower. what speed is the mower actually running. does it run faster hooked to 1000 or does it have two different gear boxes so the mower always runs the same speed??? thinking about switching it over to my tractor 1000 but im not sure if its worth it
