I've got a KX040-4 purchased new in 2024, about 150 hours on it, operated only by me on my farm.
I noticed it's got more end play than I'd think was normal on the Swing Bracket pin. I'd estimate about 1/16". In other words ... when I press the bucket into the ground and lift the front of the machine I can see the boom move upward in the Swing Bracket slightly, when I release pressure and lift the boom the boom pivot moves back down that same amount. I know it has shims that control this clearance, just wondering what is normal?
Machine is still under warranty so I'd like to address it if it's not normal. It does make an noticeable clunk when I release downward pressure on the boom that varies with how recently it's been greased. Anyone know what the factory spec is for this clearance?
