Kx121 excavator

My kubota mini excavator (kx121-3) problems are; dozer blade drifts down constantly making it useless to grade with. Also, when the left travel lever is pushed forward, the dozer blade raises up fully. I have purchased, but not yet installed, 2 new check valves for the blade section of the control valve. Installing these make take care of the driftdown problem. As far as the other problem, does this sound the rotator joint and if so, can a nonmechanic handle a rotator joint rebuild?
