I bought an L1500 about six weeks ago and love it. Mine has a couple of issues: it's not charging and the top link for the hitch is missing (which I didn't notice when I bought it.)
Here is some filter information. Note that these refer to spin-on filters. Earlier models had canister oil filters. I found the spin-on oil filter at both Pep Boys and Wal-Mart.
Oil Filter:
Napa 1034 or 1342 (one is longer)
Wix 51034 or 51342
Fleetguard LF655
Baldwin B178
Fram PH2825 or PH2870A
Air Filter:
Wix 46270
Fram CAK8429
Fleetguard AF1658K
Fuel Filter:
Napa 3390
Wix 33390
Fleetguard FF5226
Fram P7514
Does anybody know if the L1500 has a standard Type 1 hitch? I need to buy a top link.
Like your dog... tractor is ok too .
Top link should be a cat1 may be a short cat1, measure what you need and try to find one that will adjust a little longer and a little shorter than what you need. KennyV

Thanks, KennyV. I didn't know that there was a such thing as an adjustable top link -- but it makes sense.
For ste-ward: I bought a manual for my L1500 (which is similar to the US import L175 covered in the book) from Amazon (link). It's short on some of the detail I had hoped for like maintenance schedules but I'd say it's worth the $25.80 with free shipping. I am in the market for a better manual.
ste-ward, I also have an L1500 (US version is L175). I have the I&T Shop Service manual published by PRIMEDIA Business Magazines & Media Inc. titled, Kubota Shop Manual K-201 which sketchily covers many models, including the L175. Bought it via Amazon in 2005. It contains condensed service specs with dimensions, fits, and clearances. It also contains very basic procedural guidance and exploded views of various components. It does not contain part numbers and it assumes you are a mechanic and have significant working knowledge of tractors. I presently have one minor and one major problem with my L1500 (jumps out of rear gear & steering box is busted somewhere internally). Although I haven't yet ordered any other manuals, here is what I recently found at rcotractor.com
