I've been lurking around here for a bit, with an auction coming up near me. I went to see the Kubota L 2900 they had advertised. I've decided against it, but that is not the reason for this post.
Prior to going to see it, I've been haunting the web looking for something, anything, about an L 2900 and found nothing. The thing is HUGE compared to my B7100. It had rear tires about 12 inches wide (R4) on 24 inch rims. The loader was 5 feet wide, the ROPS was about 7 1/2 feet above ground level. He said it had 29 HP, and it had the GS transmission.
He pulls a 7 foot box blade with it, among other things, which impressed me for a 29 hp tractor.
I was expecting something a bit larger than the B 3030 or at least not much bigger than some Ls I had seen at the dealerships. The seller figured that with the loader and the 3 weights (50 - 75 lb per weight)) on each rear wheel that it weighed in around 3000 lb. My tractor comes in at around 1300, if that.
Is this a rare model or something? I still haven't found anything on the web about it.
