There's an L3130 on Ebay that is near me, about 40 miles away. It has the larger loader, larger hoe, 2 buckets for the hoe, skid steer QA on the loader, a 72" loader bucket and pallet forks. There's 200 hours on it. It has the FST tranny.
Current bid is 10,600 with 6 days left, more or less.

Question -- Does the FST tranny include a shuttle shift? There is no mention of it in the listing. I'm presuming that's a 4 speed box with 2 ranges in each direction.

Any idea what this thing would go for on a dealer's lot?

A heck of a lot more than that!

For someone who wants a good hoe, QA and forks and already has a tractor, sounds like a good machine to scoop up (for that price), take what you want and resell the tractor. I can see it getting up to 18-20k though.

Dealer would probably ask 20-22K?

CT has the pricing about dead on to my thinking. I'm recalling that is a shuttle shift but the gears are not syncronized like they are on the GST transmission. Kubota refers to that as thier Manual trans in the operator manual. Once you select a gear, your in it until you stop, clutch, and shift. Can direction change though.

I thought FST meant "fully synchronized transmission".

I often find myself at a loss to understand what Kubota means with the words that go with the letters in a tractor's name. I've read the stuff on their site, but it is not always helpful.

You don't have to completely stop to change gears. You can just clutch and shift. The only time you have to completely stop is shifting between High and Low Range. That's how my L3130 operates and I just re-read it in the manual a couple nights ago.

Given the other Tractor scams on E-Bay I don't think I would bid unless I could confirm the tractor actually existed, had the stated equipment and hours. Just my thoughts.

Jarret, My mistake. We had a similiar discussion about two weeks ago and someone repled the FST was not fully syncronized. I had stated I thought it might not be in that thread and the reply was that it wasn't, as I recall. Maybe they meant the High/Low and I misunderstood. If you own one you certainly know. Curious though. If that's the case and you have shuttle, what would be the difference to GST? More gears I think? Not at home so I can't pull the brochure for reference.

I agree with Gator6x4. Contact the seller and ask if you can come look at the tractor. If it's legit, he shouldn't have a problem with that.
I bought a Kubota B2710 off ebay last summer. I'm very happy with it.

It does..
The 3130 FST has a sycronized shuttle and syncronized main transmission (only need to stop to shift between ranges). You do need the clutch to shift and for changing direction.

I didn't understand the difference either until it was recently explained in another thread. The GST has 12 gears or "speeds" and you don't have to clutch to change between them. Just clutch to go to F or R. I'm sure someone else who knows more about it can explain it better.
