At 52 hrs. I started to do the service on my L-39.
I started up the tractor, pulled forward, and followed the procedure to remove the backhoe. In less than 5 minutes, I was unhooked. I shut off the tractor, removed the hoses.
I attempted to start the tractor, saw the intellapanel display, heard the starter solinoid click, and nothing.
The display went blank, and all power was dead. Of course, the tractor was half in/half out of the garage. I had to fire up the BX2200 to pull the tractor out past the garage door.

I have the shop manuals for the tractor, and have performed the following checks:

1. Battery: 12.8 v, the battery is sealed so the cells cannot be tested. If a cell is bad, the battery could be the problem.
The display needs 7 volts. min. to operate.

2. I checked the ignition switch, and the 3 positions are OK

3. The PTO, GST , Shift & seat safety switches are working properly.

4. All fuses are OK.

As this happened on Saturday, after my dealer had closed, I'll call them in the morning.
If removing the backhoe may have caused this, any suggestions to remedy this would be appreciated.

Thanks:

Simple fix to the problem.
Loose ground wire was the issue.
