Good Morning everyone, I am struggling with this. The alternator went out on my mother-in-laws 1500 while I was out of town, well I say it went out, I was not here, the young man that helps us around the house says it did. He took it off and went to a couple of places to see about a rebuild and all of them told them they could not/would not do it. So because he is young and simply does not know any better, he failed to get an pictures of the old one or save it. Yep, he threw it out so I never even got to see it, I will cover that with him later.
So I got a new one that I suspect is a replacement for a L175 even though East Texas Parts said it fit the 1500. So here is my dilemma, the plug on the tractor is a 4 pin with one eye connector for the starter, but the new alternator appears to be a 3 pin with spots for 2 eye connectors.
I freely admit that when it comes to working on stuff, electrical is my kryptonite, but I have to get this resolved so I am coming to the resident geniuses on all things Kubota and Grey Market.
Pics, because they make everything more clear.
