L2195 Shear Bolt, PN 70060-04440

Can someone verify if the shear pin, PN 70060-04440 used in a L2195 snow blower is a conventional 5/16" grade 5 bolt or one with a reduced diameter to control the shear point.

I called Messick's and they don't have any in stock to confirm the design and the closest one is located in TX and I'm in PA.

On line resource didn't have enough description or picture to verify the design.

After consulting online parts diagrams, the same shear bolt is used on the following?

L2173
L2174
L2175
L2195
L2674

Anyone have one of these blowers and can check the shear pin design?

Thanks for the link. After reading the entire thread it was not definitive what snowblower that person had and the length was longer in the thread that mentioned the neck down. 2.25" versus the. 1.75" for the PN I need.

If desperate, how about sticking a grade two bolt in it, while you wait for the correct shear bolts from Messicks or Barlows or someone who can get them? Failure should be an option.

Varmint, I'm not desperate. Just trying to verify the design since I bought the blower used and don't have an owners manual to reference. I figured with all the users on here someone could verify since they are in very short supply from the dealer. Thanks
