I am looking at a L2250 w/ FEL & a backhoe. It is a 4x4 w/ approximately 2000 hours and they are asking $6800 for it. It is at a small rural tractor shop. They tell me that the backhoe is 'loose' but for another $1000 that they will rebuild it. Also, they tell me that the tractor looks a little rough, but that it runs good. Does this seem like a good deal?
I would be looking to trade in my 4x4 B9200 w/ FEL. It has 600 hours. It's appearance also is very rough, but runs great. What would be a reasonable trade in value on the L2250?
I'm very interested in the L2250 because it is a little bigger (2400 lbs. vs. 1600 lbs.) & has a backhoe (which I really could use), but apprehensive because my B9200 has fewer hours and runs great. So bottom line is, taking all this into account, what would be considered a good deal (i.e. my B9200 plus how much for the L2250)? I know this is a loaded question full of assumptions, but some comments would be appreciated.
