L2500 problems

I'm new to this site, found it by accident, glad I did. This is a very informative and interesting site. Maybe I can get better use and life out of my tractor now. But, to my problem: yesterday I pulled a bonehead stunt, I put about 3-4 gal of gs into my diesel tractor's tank. I drained the tank and the fuel filter and parts house was closed so I couldn't get the exact filter, will do that Mon. Anyway now my tractor won't start, turns over but won't catch. I'm at a loss

Sounds like you have air in the fuel line. There should be a "B" nut you can loosen on the injector pump fuel inlet line. Tighten back up when you see fuel without air bubbles. Make sure all fittings and clamps in the fuel line are tight and leak free. If you have fuel leaking out, air can get in.

Hey guy, thanks a bunch. That did the trick. The last time I had problems with the tractor was 6-7 yrs ago. I've done min maint on this orange machine and it just keeps on working. I've got to take it to the local metal shop and have the bucket repaired and beefed up near the lip. (starting to get some hoe in the well of the bucket and the lip is starting to smile) The Payne forks I ordered are a little heavy for my L400 FEL but I think that I can work with them. I've got more chores to use the tractor than there are hours in the day but it will be. agan thanks
