Tires L2500 Tires

I recently traded in a much larger tractor for this slightly used L2500. It only had 190 hours on it. This is my first Kubota and I am new to this forum, so howdy all!

It came with the turf tires. I am primarily using it to mow pastures so when things get a little wetter I am afraid that I will not like them too much. I do like the floatation qualities and I'm not sure that I want to switch to R1 tires and wheels just yet. Is there an alternative that will fit my current wheels and maintain the proper ratio front to rear for the 4x4?

In most cases (probably all cases), you'll have to change the rims when changing your tire type. According to my L2500 sales brochure, the AG tires are 7-16 (front) and 11.2-24 (rear). This means that the front rim is 16" and the rear rim is 24".

From my experience with B7100s and B2150s, turf tires typically use smaller sized rims than the AG tires do. Your best bet is to find someone with an L2500 with AG tires who would want to swap with you.

I have an L2500 with R1's. I think if I had to do it over again I would go with the R4's. I think that would be a good compromise between ags and turfs. If I ever need more traction I would get chains. You could argue you can do that with turfs also but I just wouldn't be comfortable with turfs in the fields with stumps, branches etc due to the puncture liklihood.
