Hello all. I have been lurking for some time now. I am looking at purchasing my first tractor in a few weeks. I have 5 acres of land that with a lot of trees and blackberry bushes. I wanted to clear the blackberries and a lot of the under growth out of there.

I decided on the L class tractor because of the weight. But because of price I need to stick with the lower HP model. I have received several quotes from kubota dealers here in western WA, and they are consistently around the 20,500 mark. That's for the L2501 with QA loader, R4 tires with beet juice, and a 60" brush cutter. Does this sound like a fair price?

I have also received quotes for other color tractors that compare that compare to the L2501 but they around the same price.

Thanks for the help.

Also, is that a 4wd hydrostatic model that you're talking about?

Sorry forgot to mention it is the hydrostatic 4wd model. And an rcr 1260 landspride mower.

should be around 16 for that model you are being quoted msrp. Send in the wife to tell them the color is wrong or ask for a grapple and blade for that price.

Looks to be around $22k retail for the tractor, add another 1500 for the cutter (have the same one, been great) and you're at 23.5. I think 20.5 is definitely reasonable. Have them throw in the materials for the 50hr and I would walk away with it.

I just saw that model at my dealer as a special with the 60 in LP brush mower, no QA and ag tires I believe for 18k cash price. Qa and r4 would ad a little to the price.
My understanding is usually the prices are a little better out west due to the shipping savings.

Was the your price including tax?

No, the quotes were without tax. Unfortunately the sales tax in my area is 9.9% nowadays.

9.9, ouch. And to think I wasn't happy when ours went up to 5.3.

Are you using kubota financing? The package price I saw at my dealer appeared to be corporate based.
