L2800 Delivered Today!

After struggling with indecision all year, I went with a Kubota L2800. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif I had narrowed it down to the L2800, TC30, or JD790 (that's why I'm posting this in the "general" forum). I think I would have been happy with any of the 3 tractors, so I just decided to buy from the dealer that I liked the most (Keller Brother's Kubota, in Lancaster PA). The 790 was my sentimental favorite, but I just couldn't get a decent deal from any of the JD dealers around here, and I didn't want to make a long-distance purchase.

I worked with it a little this afternoon, and I'm really impressed! This thing is a brute! /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif Tomorrow I'm going to start leveling a parking area for my camper. Then I've got some driveway maintenance to do, then some brush cutting, then some post holes to dig...

Thanks again for a great forum -- it's been a HUGE help!

Boy, I'm sorry you couldn't find a deal on that 790...nice machines!

However, I am sure you'll find that Kubota to be an excellent tractor for your needs.

Nice unit. That was my #2 choice, I couldnt see anything wrong with it as a machine. If I hadnt gotten the pre steel surcharge price on the Mahindra 3510, the L2800 it would have been. Mine gets delivered at the end of the week /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Nice machine. I think that it was wise to go with the Kubota and skip over the JD 790. The kubota is a heavier unit than the 790. I had 770 a few years ago and I much prefer my Jd 4300 now weighing in at just under 3000#.
