You should keep track of how well the PTO engagement lever is working on all the models. A partial engagement is not good, for any of them. KennyV

I would think yours would be hard linkage not a cable.

My L4400DT uses the cable. The first time I tried to engage the PTO it wouldn't work. I adjusted the cable and tightened the adjusters and haven't had a problem since. I wasn't too impressed with the idea in the beginning, but now I don't give it any thought.

I'm sorry I can't confirm the L2800 uses the same cable setup.

DT is a direct linkage, HST = Cable linkage (the pedal for HST reverse is very close to where you engage the PTO for the DT). Do you have any photos of the linkage of the DT pto engagment? Photo from underneath???

I don't have a 2800, but I can tell you the L3400DT has a solid linkage, no cable.

The gear L2800 does not use the cable. You can look this up in the online parts manual. David...............
