Seems like fair price being such low hours..maybe worth taking test spin.

I am confused by the wording of the add.

The part that says "4500 loader".

Does this mean he is asking 11,600 for the tractor only and 4500 extra for the loader????????

If that is the case, it is not a great deal. 16,100 for the package??? that is right at new price considering ag tires and no HST tranny. Not to mention the warrenty you would get with a new one.

But if that price includes the loader, and it is in good shape and nothing broken, then I'd say that is a pretty good price.

But from the pics the loader has also got me curious. It does not look like th LA463 loader that kubota puts on them. It looks more like a curved boom loader Like some other MFG's. Possible aftermarket???

I've tried contacting the seller but no luck yet, hopefully I can give it a good look over and take it for a spin. Being this will be my first tractor purchase what are some questions that I should ask before buying?

I just bought a 2006 model L2800 with hydrostat transmission and FEL for $11,250. It had 459 hours on it and came with a rotary mower and box blade for that price. I called the dealer where it was purchased after I bought it and he said that the unit sold for about $15,500 new. This should give you a little bit of an idea of its value.

Check to see it has had its 50 hour service done yet. If not that can be costly. I just purchased everthing to replace all the fluids and filters on mine at it is going to cost over $300 just for the parts. If you take it to a dealer for this service you can plan on adding another $200 worth of labor.

I just reread the add. It only has 37 hours so it most likely hasn't had its 50 hour service so just go ahead and budget $300 to $600 for the 50 hour service depending on if you do it or a dealer does it.

Hm..my 50 hour was no where near that much, my manual for my 2010 L3400 calls for changing the oil, oil filter, hydro filter, and HST filter, now I realize some people change the hydraulic fluid, but the manual calls for a complete change at 400 hours not 50. I lost about a quart of SUDT in the change process. I think you should budget about 60 dollars for the 50 hour service, and of course do it yourself, why take it to a dealer for something as simple as oil changes? Do what you want, but that is what I did

Not for sure but I think the 50 hr service called for changing the front axle oil as well. And it says either hydraulic oil OR gear oul can be used.

I did the service myself (been a few years ago now) but If I can recall the prices

2 5gal buckets hydraulic oil from TSC......$50
2 gallons oil from TSC............................$35
Hydrulic filter from dealer.........................$30
Oil filter from napa....................................$10

Total cost was around $150 give or take a few bucks. The hydraulic system only takes like 7 gallons. The remainder was enough to fill the front axle.

The oil only takes 6 quarts. So next service, I only needed to buy one gallon.
