I want to run a log splitter on my L 2850 in addition to the factory front end loader.Where would be the best place to tie in the hydraulics without using a selector valve so that both implements can be used simultaneously or sequentially?thx-Pete

My guess is that you could 'T' into the lines that come off the hyd ports block (right side, just below and rear of the motor oil filter). I'll get a picture when I get back to work, I have an L2850 apart in the shop right now.

If you want to plug in a log splitter and be able to use the 3pt, you need a log splitter valve with PB.

You can remove the line going to the 3pt and install a MaleQD there for the log splitter supply and have no 3pt..

When you do that, you also need a short pigtail hose from the 3pt with a female QD on it. When you are not using the log splitter, unplug the log splitter and connect the two QD's together for full hyd operation.

If you install a log splitter with PB and install it correctly, you will have full use of the hyd system.
