I'll just start a fresh thread since this is a different machine I was just told about. An l2850 with under 500 hours FEL and a New Holland B124 frame mount back hoe. Can't find any specs on the backhoe. I'm thinking of looking at it tomorrow. Priced in the same range and the L35 I was looking at. The pictures I've seen show a 4 post ROPS with maybe a windshield, which must be an add on.

Any comments on this machine?

Gosh, I wonder if the sellers hang out here?

If this helps,my neighbor used to have a L2250, which must be a little brother to the L2850. He had it a long time, like 20 years, never had much trouble with it. Sold it to get a bigger tractor to pull a dump trailer.

I have L2850 cousin L2800HST w/frontend loader R4 tires and like the unit a lot..except the 3pt hitch leveler.

L2850 type transmission?
Backhoe 3pt hitch or does it have sub frame?
If you can post some pictures.

Should be a 8 speed shuttle I think.

So with a FEL and backhoe what would the guesstimate be for a price. The frame mount is a quick disconnect type. Claimed 400 hours.

Joe, the backhoe looks like it was made by Bradco. (See pics below of a B-124 and a Bradco 11MD) They were higher-end machines with spherical rod connections, replaceable bushings, jacketed hoses, etc. - reinforced in all the right places -nice work. Bradco made OEM versions of their backhoes in several brands. The 11MD digs 11 ft deep - 14' max reach.

The L2850 tractor series has a good reputation for durability. For a price guesstimate, the asking prices for super low-hour machines this size can be high - $15k - $18k, the backhoe being maybe 25% of that.

Of the 2 machines, the L35 may have faster hydraulics and the backhoe is tucked in tighter for better balance and maneuverability. Good luck - the hunt is half the fun of tractor buying
