L2900 clutch sticking

Hello all,
A question that hopefully someone out there may have.
The ranch I work at has a L2900 with all the attatchments which is very nice. The clutch petal will not reurn to the up position without help. I attatched a rope so it can be pulled back up. Is there an easy way to fix this problem or is it a mojor fix? I heard from one shop that the tractor must be split.(OUCH) Another told me this happens often with these tractors.

I would check to see if it is just the pedal return spring under the dash.

I have a L3600GST with the same thing going on. any help with this would be great.

Chech pedal pivot pin. Could have got moister on-in, and rust. Return spring busted, fell off?

I know this is an old thread, but it might help some one with this issue.
I solved the sticking clutch problem on my L2900.
The clutch pedal was at the point of not coming back up without help. I started greasing the shaft that runs through the bell house. The bore hole on the right side of the tractor, where the shaft is in, is difficult to find and even more difficult to access. The "Break Through" spay that I used helped some.
But the clutch was still not smooth.
I took a small hose and had it end in the hole. I used a ty- rap to fasten the hose to the tractor. This time I used "Fluid Film" to spray in the hose, and now the clutch is working smooth again.
