I changed the oil in my l2900 and the owners manual said it took 3.7 quarts, while the kubota web site said 5.8 quarts. Anyhow, when I drain it I got approximately 5.5 quarts out. When I refilled it I first put in 4 and it was low on the dip stick. So I put in 5.5 and now it is approximately 3/8 to 1/2 above full on the dip stick. I am assuming I need to go by the dip stick and drain a little off. What is the deal with the capacities in these. Thanks

This is a common problem with Kubota. Service manual, Owners manual, Dealer, are all different. Use the dip stick and you can't go wrong. Next thing you will encountrer is when to change the hydrolic fluid. One manual says to change the filter only and the other says filter and fluid.

Thanks for the info. I drain a little out to get the level on the dip stick right. Thanks again.
