I am considering getting an L2950 that has a 72" belly mount mower. How easy is it really to attach and detach the mower? Does $10,500 sound OK for tractor (700 hours, shuttle shift) and mower (20 hrs) Tractor is pristine - owner says it has never had 1 drop of rain! The rig does not currently have a FEL but I would be adding one ASAP - any thoughts on possibilities/price of loader - local dealer says they are no longer making the LA450A that fits the L2950 and he will have to go to an aftermarket that will run $3500. Last inquiry -- Any experience out there with this tractor hooked up with a 7 1/2' hoe?

I have a B7500 with the 60 inch belly mower. I have found it to be reasonably easy to attach and remove the unit from the tractor. In my case the casters of the deck lack clearance under the mower unless the front of the tractor is lifted a few inches by either driving it up on boards or using the loader to lift the front. Also you may benefit by using a small piece of rubber tubing to protect the mid mount PTO shaft when using the tractor without the mower. This little item helps to keep the greasy shaft from getting a coat of dirt and sand when not in use.

steve, i have a b2400 w/ a 60" deck and i have the same problem as trvler, that is the swiveling wheels scrape the bottom of the tractor unless i drive on boards or lift the front end w/ the loader. Other than that its simple. i would definitely recommend removing it on a cement pad if possible.-----on an entirely different note, my uncle has a b1700 and his deck is designed for "drive on". He has to remove the deck each time to get it through the shed door and he has yet to complain!

I also have a 60" belly mount that I rarely leave on the tractor (B7300). The first couple of times I put it on in the spring I say I wish I had remebered too.....but after a couple of times it goes on quick, like under 10 minutes with out much struggle. I also lift the front end, however the dealer told me I could drive over it. I don't bother, may be when I'm 90.
