L3010 Steering Wheel

Is it normal for the center spoke alignment in the steering wheel to vary in regards to straight tire position. During use I can tell that it is changing by the KUBOTA emblem in center of steering wheel. It is changing from 90 to 120 degrees when the tires are straight. I want to make sure the steering wheel isn’t slipping on the shaft or something. My B2710 that I just traded didn’t do this.

Glen, my John Deere does the same thing. Do you have power steering? Mine is hydrostatic power steering and there is no mechanical linkage between the steering wheel and the front wheels. Everything goes through the hydraulic lines. I suspect there is internal bypass/leakage/hysteresis that causes the wheel to return to a different position. It seems to work just fine so I haven't given it a thought /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif

Ditto for my L3010. The dealer explained it to me once, but the bottom line is it's normal.

Just to let you know my 3710 is exactely the same way. I quit worrying about it.

Thanks, now I can worry about where the tractor is pointed instead of the steering wheel.

I have a Kubota L3000DT and I have noticed the same thing with the steering wheel, little by little the position has changed from the day I got it. Good to hear this is kind of a normal thing I will not worry about it any more, I was going to try to reposition the wheel.

GLEN,
my L3000DT is like this also. the emblem on the steering wheel is 90 degrees to the left,
with the front wheels straight.it has been like this since i got the tractor,
and it has not moved.
