L3010DT
I finally get to enjoy my own toy, uh, tractor, rather than just reading the exploits of others. My new L3010DT gets delivered tomorrow. LA482FL, LP2572 rear discharge mower. Am renting to own, with the rental price going to the downpayment. Once I fully finance, then I will get a 5' bush hog and 6' scraper blade. I will borrow a digital camera and shoot some pics. Already have multiple projects lined up. In relation to another thread, I don't think my girlfriend will ever think my tractor is sexy /w3tcompact/icons/frown.gif. Oh well, I do /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif.

Thanks for all the information on various models. I am going for a bit of a record. I only have 3 acres, so that makes 10 hp/ac. I could obviously get by with a smaller tractor, but this is what I want, and I can afford it. Growing up on a farm, this is a small tractor to me. I do have some big projects lined up, so I can ALMOST justify a L3010. 'Course, everyone I know is going to think I'm nuts. Oh well, I'll be happy and grinnin' and ignorin' em'.

Nick, Good decision! I'm in the same boat (literally, if you see my last name) as you with the acreage and tractor size. But, I just got done extending a culvert another 20 feet to the side of my driveway, dug out all the rocks from the first retaining wall, moved them down, rebuilt the wall, then backfilled the entire area. I shudder to think how many man and wheelbarrow hours that would be. I was able to move rocks that otherwise would have sat right where they where. I've had mine for 3 months and have done more projects that either could only be done with my tractor or would have taken me significantly more time to complete on my own. My wife and I spent a few dollars on a landscape architect some years back, he listened to what we wanted, surveyed the property, and came back with a wonderful plan, only it cost more than sending a kid to Harvard for four years. So, now we have the plan and knock off pieces of it each year. The only costs now are the materials such as dirt, loam, fill, plants, oh and the tractor. Wouldn't have it any other way, David
