I have a Grand L3130 with 110 hours. The 3 point hitch will not lower unless there is substantial weight on it - such as a box blade. The 6' rake is not heavy enough to lower it unless I stand on it for added weight. All fluids are at proper level and routine maintenance has been done. Is there a possibility that I have air in the system? And where would I bleed the system if air may be present?

Is there a knob to regulate how fast it lowers? I know if I have mine set to lower slow and smooth with the implement, and then remove it, it wont drop on its own. Just a thought.Even with mine set to lower fast. It takes awhile for it to drop. I usually have to push it down .
Good Luck.
Sorry I could help for your particular model.

I also have a L3130. The previous poster is correct. There is a knob between your knees, below the seat cushion. You can turn the knob to adjust the how fast the 3 pt is lowered.

I keep the knob turned all the way in one direction, but sometimes my pantleg gets caught in it and changes it.

See if that works.

Thanks guys! That was my first thought also. The knob seems to be working, as the 3 point won't lower with me standing on it when in the closed position. It will lower in the open position with my weight added to the rake.

I should add that I weigh 290 lbs. so the added weight needed is substantial.:(

That is odd. It should drop fairly quick empty with the knob turned all the way. Did you check the mechanism on the other end of the knob? Is there something going on there? I don't think it is air, but ?

Well, the service manager at my local Kubota dealership says that this is normal! He says that many of the Kubotas the dealership has sold react this way when there is a "light weight" attachment on the 3 point hitch. They just tell the customer to add weight.......

I have 525 hrs on my L3130 and it has never acted that way.
The arms lower all by themselves without an implement attached.
How do you attach your implement if the arms wont lower alone?

This does not sound normal to me. I drop 3pt's with no implements on the back every week and I've never experienced this.

It is quite normal for a new tractor. As you break it in and things start getting worn, then they have a higher chance of going down by their self. I have seen tractors with several hundred hours where they still needed to be pushed down but that doesn't happen very often.
