Anyone mowing with a Kubota L3130 and 6' Bush Hog Squealer?
Many threads on Bush hoging, but couldn't find anything with this specific combination. Currently use a 4' Squealer from my Fergie TO20, but need something wider then the L3130 tires.

I have a 60" woods medium duty behind an L3410. It has plenty of power for most things, but would get stressed with an additional foot of width. But I am charging down 2-3" trees most of the time. Normal brush, grass and such would probably be OK at 72". Worst case you have to go slow and take 1/2 cuts.

I have not heard any bad things about the squealer by the way.

Using a Landpride 1872 72" rotary cutter on my L3130 GST without any issues. The key is if in thick brush, drop to a lower gear and vise versa. Have not powered out yet.

Thanks both for the replies. Plan to look for a 72' BUSH HOG.

You will do fine with a six foot for normal use as an industrial tired machine needs it to cover it's track.

I've done some mowing this summer with my 3130 GST and a 5' KingKutter. Cut 1" saplings without a problem, but when I get into thick, high grass I have to slow down and throttle up. I think in real thick, high grass, a 6' swipe would be too much for the 3130 PTO to handle, and you'd probably have to take a smaller chunk. But if you keep up with your mowing fairly regularly, I don't think you'll have any problems.

I have a L3130 and a 5 ft Bush Hog Squealer. It handles a 5 ft size easily. Im very certain that 6 ft would work just as well.

I have an L3130HST. Running through very dense 4'+ fescue is no problem at all for 5'. I borrowed a 6' KK a few weeks ago to give it a try & it was marginal....Had to slow things down a bit, motor started running a little hotter.

Note that I have few flat fields; mostly 3:1 and 4:1 slopes, and I have a HST that costs me a little PTO HP.

The exercise saved me a few hundred, as I learned that 6' was just a tad too much for my particular conditions. I take delivery of a new 5-footer tomorrow.

Thanks! I happen to have a generous, and well-equiped, uncle across the street. Reckon I oughta buy him a cold one for the loaner/saving me from making a several-hundred dollar mistake.
