L3130 dies when hydro pedal pressed

Hi all, got the tractor warmed up after work and as soon as I touch hydro pedal I hear a click and engine dies, if I get it back to the neutral position fast enough it will re rev. Loader and 3 pt working fine, any ideas? Need to plow in am so I can get to work to plow! Seems like some sort of safety switch that I've never encountered. Tractor bought used, just came out of shop after rollover but has had about 8-19 trouble free hours pullin logs and snow work. Thanks for any ideas.

You don't mention where you live but by plowing I'm assuming you live in snow country. Have you checked your fuel filter for gelling? I had similar symptoms after a prolonged subzero snap and gelled diesel had clogged the filter letting thru just enough to idle.

If you hear a click right before the engine cuts out it's definitely your seat switch. Check the switch, connections, wiring and fuse.

Thank you might be hearing the fuel stop sol.? If so you might have a short in the wiring.

Yeah that really sounds like the seat switch. If the switch is not engaged and the HST pedal moves off neutral, the engine kills. Could be bad switch, unplugged, corroded connections, or wire break. I'm amazed it will even start as that switch controls the start too (pretty sure)

Just finished my 14 hr day at work, heade home to thaw her out with a salamander then check, one of my employees is a kubota mechanic and he confirmed what you all have said, so now to see if I can figure it out. Wish me luck, 2 degrees and exhausted!

A strong ditto for the fuel stop solenoid...had EXACTLY the same thing happen to me...hunted down the fuel stop solenoid...all looked OK...I took loose the connecting wires and reconnected...ALL WORKED JUST RIGHT NOW...conclusion was that the connector was just barely not making contact...this puts the vehicle into "limp" mode where it starts and runs, and, if in low and just barely touch the HST it will move, but you gotta be in idle and not asking for any real speed.

hope this is it... cheap fix...try this first before any other fixes...the click you mention is EXACTLY what my symptoms were.

EDIT...just saw your fuse solution...wondering, which fuse...would be good to know so if this happens to me I know another place to look...any idea why fuse blew??

Top right fuse in the panel, 20 amp, was too lazy to dig out manual so I just checked a the fuses, must be hst fuse, as seat switch is still disconnected and she runs like a champ!
