L3130 HST 4WD question?

Had the same problem with my L3430. Came out about two quarts short. The listed capacity must be wrong.

I am due for the 400 hour axle change soon. I will carefully drain and see what it will hold. I use Kubota 80w-90 Gear Oil.

I had the same thing happen to me. It only took about a gallon to fill the front axle on my L3130. I too, was wondering about this.

My L3130HST had 90w gear oil in it.

Also have extra quarts of it like everyone else.

Just like you, I could only get around 4 qts of UDT in the front axle case. I put the tractor in 4wd, raised the front end, tilted the axle and drained each side for around 2 hrs each. Looks like the manual may be off, or we cannot get all 6 qts out using the drain plugs.
