Should one spend the xtra for this? Occasionally wood spliting and will definately get a sickle mower when I get better off financially.

Can you put it on later yourself and what is the cost for the hyd. rear remotes cost. (single) Labor cost?

I'll check with dealer tommorow on his cost.

Plus,
Sickle bar mowers (5ft model) Dealer carries Befco. Is there a good used market out there for this product?

The first set of rear remotes are around $500-$600 in my area (Iowa). You can DIY if you are inclined.

One or two rear remotes are well worth the money spent. They can be used for a hydraulic top link and/or attachments. Those who opt for not getting them usually wish they had and will add them on later, usually at a higher cost.

when shoppin, I coulda got the 1st remote for $600, each additonal for $200.

I didn't have an *immediate* need for the remotes (I was spendin enuf for my BH) ...

I also realized that folks here would help me out in pickin a DIY solution when the BH gets parked and I want hyd back there (e.g. perhaps a joystick instead of multiple levers) ...

I'd say if you plan on a need back there (e.g. TNT) right away, then "negotiate" it into the price you pay for the machine.

Thanks, went ahead and had a set installed while buying new for 600.00.

A sickle bar mower for pond area is a must for me with the new tractor once I get straitened back out financially. Probably next year.

I'll be using a wood spliter toward the fall so I think I'll like having the effeciency of the remotes back there and not messing with disabling the front end loader to accomplish this.
Thanks for the advice all.

DEVLIVERY 9:00AM FRIDAY, Which also happens to be my B-Day.
