Canopy L3130 with BH90 - Canopy

I am purchasing a new L3130 (4WD) with a LA723 loader and a BH90 backhoe. The dealer offers a fiberglass canopy for $350. I have seen one of these in person and they look good.

What I don't know is how well it holds up. I have a lot of small trees with low branches that will hit it some and it is also very sunny in south Mississippi.

Does anybody have one of these that can give some indication of how well they hold up? Is it worth $350?

Get a metal canopy, the fiberglass will just get broken when you sneak through the trees, the metal will just bend a little and can be bent back.

I have one on my Mahindra 2015 and it works great, I'm always getting into trees and it just bounces back, it can also be removed in just a few seconds when you get into those brushy situations.

I have the 44" version which retails for $325, I got mine at Tractor Supply for $180

fiberglass canopy will break if you hit trees so be very cautious under trees. Have a Z28 with canopy and already have a few cracks from hitting branches but I have learned to pay attention.

I Like the Tufftop too, because with my backhoe I can turn it around backwards in its mounting bracket and it covers the backhoe seat

I proceeded with the tractor purchase and will buy a canopy from another vendor, later. Dealer was buying after market canopy's from someone in Tennessee. Based on what I saw, I can get a canopy anyday for $350.00. No need to buy now if it is not a Kubota product...

Since you have limbs in the way, I would go with a metal canopy. Wells Ag has both a steel canopy and an aluminum diamond plate model. If I am not mistaken, they will paint the steel version the color of your tractor. I have had a Wells diamond plate canopy since 1999 and really like it. There are others here that have them also. I know that at least two members got their dealer to start selling for Wells Ag. Someone said that if the dealer ordered two or more that there was free shipping. I don't know if that is still right, but might be something to look into. BTW, I have straightened mine out more that once and it still does its job. It just doesn’t look as straight as it originally did.
