I may have posted this before, but can't remember.....I would like to find a radiator fan that pushes instead of pulls. (like the kind I had on a dozer...would do both). I am tired of getting roasted operating this tractor in hot weather. I want a fan blade assembly to mount in place of the original one. Only thing I have found so far is electric fans...would far rather have one that is belt driven.
Thank you for any help...;)

I have no clue on the mounting but my L2550 is a pusher.

It's not always optimal depending on blade design but is the blade mount offset the same on both sides? If so you could just flip the blade over and it will reverse the airflow.

I have a couple kubota engines and some this can be done on some it can't. Some just need a spacer to make it work.

Another thought, by reversing the airflow it could cause more heat buildup by the dpf etc. which is not what you want.

Could you make deflectors that can help prevent the air from the underhood area from blowing on you instead of reversing the airflow?

If I could flip the fan over and remount it....nothing would change...it would still be a puller. I am not concerned about the DPF. It will be fine. Deflectors are something I do not know about. I am kinda doubting that I could do this. The hot air is kinda enveloping the operator, not just a stream of air. Reversing the fan would solve this problem. Not having any luck tho...maybe after warranty goes out, I can try an electric fan.
Thanks for the help.

Yup you're right, the ones I was thinking about used an idler system to reverse direction after the fan was flipped.
That's what I get for posting on no sleep.
Electric would be your easiest option but I'm sure there's a fan out there somewhere

There are screens in front to protect the radiator. It keeps junk from getting pulled through. Reversing the flow puts the screen on the wrong side.

The screens come out.
Ya, but it's harder to get a screen before the fan or between the fan & radiator. My radiator plugged up fast enough with regular cleaning of the screen. I wouldn't roll without a screen personally.

I will keep it clean. It is worth that and much more to reduce the incredible heat on the operator in the hot weather. Like working in a furnace. Plumb nuts !

Have you thought about the heat that comes off the DPF when it is doing a regen? I'm not sure using a pusher fan would keep it cool enough under the hood when a regen is happening. I don't think it would be a problem during normal operation.
