Kubota L3400 & JD 325
I've been lurking for months while waiting to take the plunge. Now that I did I want to say thanks to everyone for all the great information. I was absolutely clueless about compact tractors when I started looking. By most standards I'm still kinda clueless but at least now I'm comfortable with my ignorance.

I ended up with:
L3400 HST
Foldable ROPS
LA463 FEL w/ chain hooks & removable toothbar
telescopic stabilizers
two rear work lights
Wood RD7200 RFM

The Kubota dealer here in town has been great, but to be fair, the JD dealer has also been very good.

In the end I did not want to go the extra $$ for the JD3320 and I thought the JD 790 and 990 were too dated.

Thanks again for all the great information!

So what did you pay if you don't mind my asking? Thanks. I'm looking at a gear driven L3400.

I paid $17,000 for the tractor and loader. I've seen slightly better deals posted but the dealer is right here in town and I didn't really want to go elsewhere.

Congradulations. I hope you enjoy your L3400 as much as I enjoy mine.

I have the L3400HST with no loader. I love the foldable ROPS. I store the tractor in a building with a 10 foot door but I do maintenance in my climate controlled house garage which has a 7.5 foot door. It also allows me to get it into the car hauler trailer.

I paid 14,200 for the L3400 with foldable ROPS and R4's. I have a great dealer that is 7 miles from here. a good dealer is extremely important to me.

Thanks CCSIAL. The folding ROPS will come in handy for me too since the tractor will live in the garage. Its not climate controlled but much better than living outside. Very convienent that it fits in your car carrier. I was hoping it would fit in my horse trailer but no such luck. Between the loader and the filled wheels, its probably too heavy anyway.

I've always been told it is better for the tractor to be in an unheated garage since there is less condensation. My attached garage is heated and air conditioned but I only turn them on when I work on something.

Have fun with the new toy. : /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif
