I have a L3400 hst and it is leaking transmission\hydraulic fluid from under it. Looks to to where the front and back bolt together. Any idea's. Thanks

First clean the area well and make sure that's where it is coming from. Oil will leak somewhere else then follow the joint. Try tightening the bolts. Sometimes you will find they get loose. If that all fails it sounds like it could get ugly. Good luck.

Thanks I'll try that but it is leaking pretty bad now. It had a small leak for a little while. I'm afraid it's going to be bad.

There is a large hose on the right side near the floorboard that is famous for cracking.

Look for that suction hose just to the left of your right foot when on the hydro pedal. Maybe could be it.. they all crack and leak at some time.. It is about 1 1/4 inches diameter.. May not be your problem, but I hope it is.

I have a couple of leaks on my L3400. The first leak was the sight glass that you look for the level of your hydraulic fluid had cracked. Easy fix. The second one wasn't so easy as a gasket came out where the tractor was bolted together and I had to have the tractor apart to fix. Hope this helps and I hope it is something easy.
