Hi All,
I went to my dealer today to pick up a L3400 that I was told was the same frame size as my brothers L3010 but with a few more hp, wrong! I did not realize they were as small as they are. I currently have a 1980 L245 DT, the new L2800 and L3400 just look like an updated L245 ,,,,, looks like the same drop rear end with a heavier front axle,,, how much larger is the L4400? I just ordered the tractor based on what the dealer told me and having used my brothers rig a bunch I figured that is the tractor I was getting,,, I did not take the L3400,,,,,,
Thanks,
Walter

Does anyone know what the difference in cost should be between the two? HTe shops are closed here for the day.
Thanks,
Walter

Go to Kubota.com and it will give all the specs...

Don't know what a 3400 runs, but I paid 19.5K for my L4400 with a FEL. That's with AG tires.

The L4400 is definitely a bigger frame size, not quite but almost to the utility class. To me it is one of the best hp/$ deals around and a solid, basic tractor too. If you don't need HST or other fancy features, I would look seriously at it.

In plain speak, the 3400 is a shade smaller than a L3010 and the L4400 is a shade larger than the L3010. But more than a shade more powerful.

Congrats on the L4400. You're gonna love it!
I've had mine for about 2.5 years and nary a single complaint.
It's handled just about everything I've asked it to do...dirt work, heavy bush-hogging, hauling, etc., on all kinds of terrain.
Plenty of power for digging, pulling, and such.
Starts every time.
Keep your radiator screen clean. Too much dust/grass clippings/pollen and the engine starts to run hot. Mine seems to get coated pretty easy when mowing tall weeds and hay.
