L3400 or L3130?

L3400 with LA463 Loader or L3130 with LA513 Loader? They are about the same price with either package. The L3400 has 35hp compre to 32hp on the L3130? What do I miss with the L3400? Thanks for you help.

The L3130 is going to have shuttle shift, telescoping links on the 3pt., flat deck, arm rest on the seat, basically just more bells and whistles. As far as the loaders go, about 200 lbs. more lift capacity with the LA513, and a little quicker cycle time. Also 5ft. versus 5.5 with the LA513.

hello, the 3400 dt is a nice tractor with a tad more hp BUT ! 3130 has much nicer amenities and is far more comfy when you are working it . Also the 8x4 shuttle on the 3400 is not a synchro transmission and you will probably want to trade it in 6 mos . The fst on the 30 series is the cats pajamas and if you can net a 3130 dt for the same money as a 3400 dt its definitely more tractor and value for the money hands down !
I love hp as much as anyone but I also have a bad back and that seat on the 3130 is like a barca lounger compared to the base L . happy holidays

I finalized a deal on a L3400 HST but compared to the 3130HST the price difference was $3000 cdn. If there was no price difference or it was narrower I would have gone with the L3130 for sure.

I just bought a L3400 HST w/FEL and have 5hrs on it and love it . I am sure you will enjoy your new tractor.

I am sure for the money you will be real happy with the L3400, The grand L series just has more of the fancy stuff, but I am sure the L3400 is a great work horse.... enjoy your new tractor...

The difference is greater if you were doing a lot of loader work which would also put the LA723 loader into consideration on the L3130 (around $400 more). This would give you 1400# of lift versus 853#, higher lift height and more curl which is significant if you are working with loose material. An L3130 weighs 700# more out of the crate, is wider and longer which also helps stability in loader operation. Horsepower may be the bigger factor if it's PTO operated implements that will be your primary use of the machine.
