Hi all,

Just got some quots on both the kubota l3400 with fel, also l4400 with fel also, was seriously planning on the l3400, then a new quote was e-mailed on the the l4400, which was only 2k more than l3400..as the l3400 would suit my application fine, but i guess for that little bit extra $$ would it be worth its bigger brother... your thought appreciated:)

What is the main use of the tractor? If you don't need the lighter machine then extra hp is always useful.

I've got the 3400 DT as well.. it's been a great machine for me. I'd recommend trying both, the 4400 should be a little smoother with the extra cylinder.

If space is a consideration, the 3400 is quite a bit smaller frame, may be a better fit in tight spots or your garage if that's a concern. I'm glad I got the 3400 for that reason, but I'd do the same thing again even if it wasn't.

The wider rear tires on the 4400 will give you better flotation on soft ground.

I wish I'd gotten a quote on the L4400 when I bought my L3400. If it were only 2K more, I would have one now.

I think the L4400 PTO is a better system. More lift capacity on the FEL, and a smoother 3PH valve too.

When I was buying the difference was about $5000, too much for me to swallow.

I'd say if you are even entertaining the idea of the 4400 then you should get it.

If their is a particular reason you need something smaller and nimble like the 3400, (such as mowing lawn regulary, tight areas, etc) then you wouldn't even be considering the 4400 in the first place.

If the 3400 can do everything you want, the 4400 can do it, just a little faster. If it isn't going to be TOO big, then go for it.

Hi Again,

I just signed up, and its for the l4400 FEL, got it for $29,000 aud, as im in Australia, and squeezed a carry all out of them as well in the cost. Its just starting to sink in, as im very excited. the size difference isnt really important, its still not a full size tractor i guess, but it will have more power than i prop will ever need, can post pics but you prob know what they look like anyway. thanks for all your thoughts, cant wait prob get it in three or four days :)
