I purchased 20 acres and have been trying to figure out what tractor would work for me. I have narrowed it to kabota and kioti . I want to use to level land build drive way and mow with. Land is all clear and been mow before, so I don't have alot of big stuff. I have been leaning towards the L3400 DT with fel . I just do not no if it is going to be big enough or not. Any one have any prices on the L4400.

Thanks any input would be appreicated

Have seen them advertised in the $14,000 to $15,000 range.

My local dealer has the L3400 for $14,900 with a FEL and the L4400 for $19,500 with FEL.

One thing to consider is that the L3400 is available with an HST transmission (for more money of course) and the L4400 is only available with a standard transmission.

I think they are both great machines. I got my L4400 for $19,200 which included a $700 rear remote. I wrote a review (from a newbies perspective) on the L4400 here:

There are several reviews on the 3400 here as well.

I got the L4400 because I wanted the most power I could get with the budget I had. If you are comparing the gear drive 3400 to the gear drive 4400, all you really need to decide is if you need the extra power and loader specs. It sounds like the 3400 would be fine for your application, but if you have the money, a little more power is always a good thing.
