Kubota L3400
1. I just did the hydro fluid change and such on it (using some high dollar SUDT) and I changed both screw on filters as advised in the manual. However I couldn't find the "mesh screen" filter that folks keep talking about. I think (after further research) that there isn't a mesh screen on the L3400s?

2. So what's the deal with the engine block heater? I've got one but the barn is waaaaaay away from any electric outlets.

3. I bought my Kubota used with less that 150 hours on it (it's a year old) what do I need to do to transfer the warranty?

4. What is the deal with diesel additives for cold weather?

1. When I did my 50 hour I did not see a screen. But I didn't look for one either since the manual did not mention it. I also used super UDT. I feel better with it in winter.

2. I have a block heater and usually use it. I have started it at 10 degrees without the heater and it started just fine.

3. Can't help you on this one. I'd call a dealer or Email Kubota.

4. I use power service to help keep the fuel from gelling in the winter. If you buy winter fuel at the truck stop your probably good.

5. Enjoy the new tractor!

1. My L2800 does not have the inlet screen. It does not show in the parts manual.

2. I don't use one

3. Check with you dealer, the warranty is 2 years on the tractor, 3 years on the engine. (if I remeber correctly)

4. I use Powerservice diesel additive year round. I add 2-3 ounces to each of my 5 gallon cans, It's supposed to help prevent gelling, up the cetane rating and stabilizes the fuel..
