I am considering the L3400HST, but wondering if I should get the Woods LC102 loader. It is rated 500 lbs greater lift at the pins than the LA463 Kubota loader, but in my area, the price increase would be just about $1000.

If you have the L3400 with the Woods LC102, please comment on how it performs and whether on not it was worth the added cost.

Thanks,
Arky

Arky217, you may want to go with the stock LA463 (get the QA) and save your money for a nice set of light duty forks.

The LA463 is a tad weak in my opinion but it's also essentially the same loader as the LA513 and is fairly robust. Try the loader as is but if you're not satisfied, you can bump up your relief pressure to get an extra 250 lbs. to 500 lbs. lift. Several people here have already done this. I think it can be done for about 30 cents if you have an appropriate pressure gage.

Consider this thread before you decide:

LD1's post #92 gives a pretty logical explanation of the basic math.
