My L3400HST is not moving in the forward direction as fast as it used to. It seems to be moving in the reverse direction just as before, but going forward is slower. The tractor only has 85 hours on it and the fluids/filters were changed at 50 hours. I have looked at the linkage to the transmission, but I have not seen any easy adjustment points. Also, my cruise control has stopped functioning. Any thoughts? Thanks

Is it possible that something is physically blocking the pedal from going all the way down, under the tractor? I had that happen to me once on my previous tractor. I had installed under body armor, and it was off a little and blocked the pedal from going all the way down. So, forward was real slow and I did not understand why at first.

Is the pedal moving to full forward position? The cruise control is a cable that runs from the cruise handle to the forward/reverse pedal (if this makes sense.)
I was bush hogging and bent the gas charged pedal dampener (if this is the correct name)and if I remember correctly when I went to go forward it would only go about half way forward. If this happens to be your problem look under the right floor board and move the pedal while examing the likages.
Hope this helps.

I removed a small panel on the passenger side of the tractor and I was able to see the rocker piece that controls the final adjustment into the transmission. It looked like when the pedal was pushed completely forward, it was not going as far as it used based on the wear pattern on the rocker piece. The pedal does not appear to be obstructed. It seems to be able to go as far forward as it used to, it just doesn't seem to transfer through the linkage properly. I looked t the dampening piston and it seems OK.

Maybe someone else will jump in who knows more than me. Sorry I can not help anymore.

It is fixed. Thanks for all of the help. There was a turnbuckle adjustment in the opposite side of the pedal on the cruise control linkage that had backed-off. I tightened it and locked the nut and all is well.

Thank for passing along your findings.

Again, Thanks for letting us know how it turned out  (always love a happy ending - that it didn't cost much to fix.) ;)
