...about greasing one of the zerks on the backhoe.
The lower swing pivot zerk has little room above it, no way can I get my cordless gun's fitting on it. Normally I'd use my slide on fitting (designed for similar situations) but the zerk is recessed too far, won't fit.
The previous owner obviously had trouble also, it's the only one that's mostly dry. I tried replacing the zerk with a 45' one, but due to the recess'd area when I tried to tightened up the 45' zerk it hits the rim making it useless.
Anyone have a link for a true grease gun fitting that's made to fit recessed zerks with no room?
My next thought is to put an adapter in the zerk's hole and screw a 90' zerk into that, but it makes little sense to me that Kubota designed something like this. It just needs to stand a half inch higher and I could fit the slide on fitting there. Been greasing zerks for over 30 years but haven't run into this before.
