Loader L3540 w/CAB FEL LOADER CTRL adjustment

My loader control is out of adjustment. Smooth control of bucket is nearly impossible & you can't engage the joystick slide lock. My Kubota manual doesn't cover adjustment procedure. My solution was to adjust the two small cable end links in order to allow smooth engagement of the joystick slide lock when it was at rest. The improvement was sufficient enough to call it good. However, I think there is more to this procedure. There must be a procedure to adjust the two cables via the large nuts [2 ea] securing each cable at the lift and roll control valves, respectively. Then there is the fixed rocker post underneath the cab joystick. It appears to be adjustable. If so, you could incr or decr the freeplay in the joystick. And, of course, is there anything else I missed? Sure would appreciate any help in doing this the correct way.

I just don't have the experience to help. I have never faced this. I would help if I could.. Give it some time, and hopefully others will see this and offer some assistance.

I think the adjustment in the cables are just to take up the slack when installing the cables. I move the stick slowly, just let the lever bleed by for smooth and slow. I always thought the lever was push hard for fast and easy for slow. Unless I'm not sure what you're saying, I thought the smoothness of the bucket is from how you feather your hand. I thought mine was jerky at first.

Is this something that just happened or did you just acquire tractor in other words has it ever worked correctly for you

Mine has been harder to operate since new than my previous 3130, but I thought it was due to the cable linkages. It has smoothed out a bit over time (1.5 yrs). I would also like to improve it, but do not have an answer. Too many things going on right now to look into it myself, or I would. If you find an answer, i would love to hear it. Probably just one more thing that Barlows hosed up on the assembly of this unit. Still not pleased with them, despite all the good press they get here....
