Price Check L3560 or L4060

Ok all, before I make the final decision, I would like some input. I like the 4060 since it is a little stronger machine, but I am pushing it on price and what I feel comfortable with as a payment. I can afford the 3560 but I worry about the power compared to the 4060. I will be getting the heavier loader and the larger BH92 Hoe. One of the sales people I talked to mentioned that the BH92 may be a little much for the 3560, so that concerns me. Anyone with the 3560 have any input or anyone else?

I looked at the specs on both tractors and the difference in weight is only fifty-four pounds and hydraulic output only 1 gpm more on the 4060.

I don't know anything about backhoes, but Waxman has a BH92 on his L3240, so you might check with him.

They should handle the backhoe almost identically. If the only difference is HP, I wouldn't worry about getting fewer ponies if you're more comfortable with the cash outlay.

On the Kubota website, they offer the BH77 or the BH92 for the 3560 and the 4060 they only offer the BH92, which I don't know what that means other than the 3560 may be the very bottom end to handle the BH92.

When I go from the L3800 BH77 to the L3560 BH92, I want to notice quite a bit of difference in power and the speed of the BH.

Because 35 HP is not nearly enough to do anything but slow around the yard chores that take little to no power. 40 HP sucks too. Go big.

So you think going up to the 4060 would be a big difference in power?

If you have a chance to demo both please take the time and do so.

Maybe try with a powered implement, if not highest gear on the road will tell all. Mine uses all available power while running the road. You'll see the difference right off.
